Commitment to our Community
To grow and prosper, communities require care. It is the work of many hands—sharing many talents, many hours, and many gifts. We enrich the entire community by enriching its members. Scott Theodore and the members of The Theodore Financial Group share this commitment to the community in which they live and work, to make it a better place, to make a difference.
Colfax Community Network
Each year our Network Office partners with one local charity through active volunteerism and donations. Our selected Charitable Organization for the 2008 Calendar year is the Colfax Community Network.
The Colfax Community Network advocates for and works on behalf of children and families residing in low-income, transient housing (primarily residential motels) along Colfax Avenue. By providing information, services and programs, we strengthen and improve family and community life.
The Theodore Financial Group Volunteer Program
We are a culture that emphasizes growth, both professionally and personally and one that encourages individuals to make a difference in the lives of others. Our Giving Back program provides paid for time to all Theodore Financial Group employees so that they can give a little of “themselves” back to the community. They are able to use paid half days off during the year towards community service. This special program is designed to enhance and enrich our associates and the community in which we live.
REACH Foundation
Managing Partner, Scott Theodore, serves on the executive board of the REACH foundation.
It is the mission of Karl Mecklenburg's REACH (Rewarding Experiences for All Children) to provide Denver area children and youth with educational opportunities and resources needed to excel in the classroom and in life. The Foundation's interactive programs and events are designed to help build a strong foundation through education and outdoor experiences.

Susan G. Komen—Race for the Cure
The Komen Denver Race for the Cure® raises money to fund education, screening and treatment programs for thousands of women in our own community and supports the national search for a cure.
In 2006, the Theodore Financial Group's race team, headed by Monica Kerber, raised $10,586.85 and raced in the event again on October 7, 2007. We also sponsored "A Pink Tie AffairTM—Jazz it up Fundraising event held November 11, 2006 headlined by Grammy award-winning saxophonist David Sanborn. Where most successful dinners have a larger-than-life feel, A Pink Tie AffairTM is quite the opposite. In fact a huge part of the event’s appeal is that it’s both intimate and relaxing. The Theodore Financial Group made it possible for attendees to mingle with David Sanborn prior to his performance at the VIP Reception. A highlight of the event was the one-of-a-kind auction items with a wide range of price tags.
